Headliner – Brent Terhune

Brent Terhune was named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch for 2020 and has accumulated more than 65 million views across his social media channels with his satirical MAGA character. His not-so-obvious delivery can be described along the lines of a ‘blue-collar Colbert Report.’

Brent has been writing daily topical jokes and news breakdowns for the nationally-syndicated Bob & Tom Show for more than 10 years. He has had two comedy albums debut at No. 1 on iTunes and his work is streamed heavily on SiriusXM.

What to Expect at the Lucky Cat:

We want to provide you with the best possible experience and want everyone who steps through our doors to have a fantastic time! We are committed to creating a great atmosphere for our guests and performers. 

Getting Here: We are located just west of downtown Cedar Rapids, directly off the Diagonal Avenue exit (coming from the south) or 1st Avenue W exit (coming from the north). 

Parking: Free street parking is available on both sides of 3rd Street SW (one-way, northbound) and 2nd Ave SW. Limited free parking is available in our lot on the west side of our building. Free parking is also available in the city parking lot behind our building (under I-380).

Tickets: We do not provide physical tickets for shows. Please keep your email confirmation handy and have your photo ID ready at check-in. All ticketed shows are 21+ unless otherwise specified.

Advance ticket sales end at 6 PM on show days. Tickets are then available at the door on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets will typically be cheaper in advance. Tickets purchased at the door are cash only; we do have an ATM on site.

Seating: Arrive early to assure the best seats! To minimize disruption, large groups will be split amongst tables; most of our tables are for four and we do offer two tables of six. Individuals and groups of fewer than four people may be seated with other guests.

Before the show: Doors open at 7:00 PM for 8:00 PM Friday and Saturday evening shows. Come early to enjoy our fantastic drink menu before the show! In addition to cocktails, we have 12 beers on tap and offer mocktails and other non-alcoholic options for those choosing not to imbibe.

During the show: 

• Please silence your phone and do not take calls during a show.
• Table talk should be kept to a minimum and unless a performer is interacting with you, please do not interact with them.
• Individuals or groups deemed distracting may be asked to leave the venue. You will not be issued a refund if you’re asked to leave for causing a distraction.
• We are here to support live performances and you are asked to treat our performers with kindness and respect.

After the show: We close one hour after the conclusion of the show unless there is a late show, in which case guests at the early show will be asked to leave within 30 minutes.

Any bar tab left open will incur a 20% gratuity charge.
