Golden Girls Mug Class

Golden Girls fans: we’re not ones to blow our own vertubenflugen, but if you’re a fan of Blanche, Dorothy, Rose, and Sophia, do we have an event for you! We are partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio (ICCGS) for a handbuilt Golden Girls mugs class.
In this workshop, participants will create a mug using various hand building techniques such as slab, coil and pinch. You will then decorate your mug with your favorite Golden Girls quote or even etch a portrait of your favorite character into the side, and then finish it off with glaze (paint). All projects will be created and painted on site and then taken back to ICCGS for firing in their kilns. Finished projects will be ready for pickup at The Lucky Cat approximately three weeks later.
All Thew Brewing beers on tap will be $2 off and Lexi Belle’s Lavender Vodka Lemonade will be $1 off all night!
The mission of the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio is to promote understanding, appreciation, and professional development in ceramic and glass arts. They are dedicated to providing a place where creativity and community meet.
